Why Tirada
- Charging readers costs you far less. To sell subscriptions, Flodesk puts you on Everything: $137 (≈ €126) a month at 10,000 subscribers. On Tirada, with the same list and one send a week, you pay €13.66 on Lite or €33.66 on Pro, and you can charge on any plan.
- Your paid subscriptions don't depend on your plan. If you cancel Everything or downgrade, Flodesk immediately ends every active subscription. On Tirada you charge through your own Stripe account, on Lite too.
- Your newsletter gets a website. Tirada publishes your archive on your domain, with premium posts behind the paywall. Flodesk has no website or archive: you sell a recurring product, and buyers are added to a segment you email.
- Your AI works on your emails from the €5 plan: it prepares drafts and gets sends ready with the permissions you approve, and diagnoses deliveries and your domain. Flodesk's connector manages subscribers, but can't create or send an email.
- Your data and your readers' data stay in the European Union.
Pricing, in numbers
Since 2 December 2025 Flodesk charges in dollars by active subscribers (active and soft-bounced contacts count), in tiers. Its free plan doesn't send, so a free newsletter needs Lite, which goes up to 25,000 subscribers, or Pro above that. Charging for subscriptions takes Everything. Sends are unlimited on all three. If you joined before that date, you keep your old flat-price plan and this table isn't yours.
| Subscribers | Flodesk, free newsletter | Flodesk, with 5% paying | Tirada Lite | Tirada Pro |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1,000 | $25 (≈ €23) | $54 (≈ €50) | €5.87 | €25.87 |
| 10,000 | $72 (≈ €66) | $137 (≈ €126) | €13.66 | €33.66 |
| 50,000 | $389 (≈ €358) | $527 (≈ €485) | €48.30 | €68.30 |
| 100,000 | $689 (≈ €634) | $877 (≈ €807) | €91.60 | €111.60 |
Monthly price with one send a week (4.33 emails per subscriber). "With 5% paying": one in twenty subscribers pays you €5 a month, and what the platform keeps from those payments is added. Flodesk: prices as published on 20 October 2026; dollars at €0.92. Tirada: plan plus €2 per 10,000 emails, excluding VAT, and 0% commission. The payment processor's fee (Stripe) applies on both and isn't included. Your own domain on Tirada, €2 more a month, isn't included.
At 1,000 subscribers, Flodesk Lite costs $25 (≈ €23) and Tirada Lite €5.87; if you charge, Everything goes up to $54 (≈ €50). Lite also won't let you remove the Flodesk footer from your emails: that takes Pro. If your list outgrows your tier, Flodesk moves you up automatically. What works in Flodesk's favour is that it doesn't count emails: if you send daily to a large list, the gap nearly disappears, and at some list sizes Lite comes out cheaper than Tirada. Paying a year upfront, Flodesk gives you one month free and Tirada two.
Your AI and your agents
On 17 August 2026 Flodesk launched an official connector for Claude and a plugin for ChatGPT (Plus or Pro), both built on MCP. It started read-only and later added write tools: there are 23 today. It reads stats on sends, subscribers, segments, workflows, forms and sales, and it can create, edit or unsubscribe subscribers and move them between segments, one at a time. Editing a subscriber, removing one from a segment or unsubscribing someone asks the AI to confirm with you first. It can't do anything with your emails: Flodesk says Claude and ChatGPT still can't send or schedule emails, and sending is on its roadmap with no date.
Its API, on paid plans (the free plan and the trial get no keys), manages subscribers, segments, custom fields and workflows, but has no campaigns: it can't create or send an email. Its webhooks cover three subscriber events. On Flodesk a person always sends too, from the app. Outside Flodesk there are unofficial routes, such as Zapier's MCP through its integration, or Truto's.
On Tirada the MCP comes with every plan, Lite included. Your assistant gets nine diagnostic tools (why an email didn't arrive, what your domain is missing, why a send was paused, how your Stripe account is doing) plus the API operations you approve: it can read your posts, prepare a draft and get a send ready, which is exactly what Flodesk's connector can't do. It can't confirm the send: a person confirms every send in the dashboard. Your readers' emails reach it masked, with a cap of 5,000 subscriber records a day, and you can revoke each connection. How to connect it.
When Flodesk is the better choice
Flodesk is the better choice if you sell things as well as write: on Everything it has sales pages and checkout with upsells, discount codes, payment plans, buy now pay later, sales tax and abandoned cart, all with no Flodesk fee. Also if the design of each email matters a lot to you: it's known for its templates, and its AI design app, Flodesk Studio, is free while in beta. It has unlimited workflows from Pro, subject line A/B tests, resend to non-openers, send-time optimisation and integrations with Shopify, Squarespace, Wix or ManyChat. Its free plan lets you build your list with forms before you pay.
If you send daily to a large list, its unlimited-email pricing works in your favour. Tirada has no automations beyond the welcome email, no shop and no e-commerce integrations.
How to move from Flodesk
- On Flodesk, export your subscribers as CSV, all of them or by segment: you get a link by email that expires in 24 hours. The file also includes unsubscribes and bounces, and Tirada's import report tells you who got in and why each of the rest didn't.
- Keep a copy of the emails you want to hold on to: Flodesk doesn't export them and Tirada imports subscribers, not the send archive.
- On Tirada, import the CSV, connect your domain to send and publish from it (€2 a month) and your Stripe account to get paid.
- If you sell subscriptions on Everything, don't cancel or downgrade on Flodesk until your paying readers have moved: Flodesk ends every active subscription the moment you do. Tirada doesn't take over existing Stripe subscriptions, so your paying readers subscribe again on your Tirada page. Tell them first.
