Why Tirada
- Above 10,000 subscribers, Tirada costs far less. With 50,000 and one send a week, Kit Creator is $379 (≈ €349) a month; Tirada is €48.30 on Lite or €68.30 on Pro.
- 0% commission, with your own Stripe account. Kit charges 3.5% + €0.25 per payment (card fees included, of which it says it keeps 0.6%) and has you open a new Stripe account through Kit, even if you already have one.
- Your AI works with you from the €5 plan. Kit's MCP only works on Creator and Pro: on the free plan, every tool returns an upgrade prompt.
- Your assistant diagnoses as well as writes: why an email didn't arrive, what your domain is missing, why a send was paused. And neither Tirada's MCP nor its API can send: a person confirms every send in the dashboard.
- Your data and your readers' data stay in the European Union. Kit stores them in the United States.
Pricing, in numbers
Kit charges by active subscribers. Up to 10,000 it's free, paid newsletter included; above that you move to the Creator plan, which goes up in tiers (the Pro plan costs more). On every payment from your readers Kit charges 3.5% + €0.25, card processing included. Kit says its own share, once the card fee is taken out, is 0.6%, and that is what the table counts: Stripe's fee isn't counted on either side.
| Subscribers | Kit, free newsletter | Kit, with 5% paying | Tirada Lite | Tirada Pro |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1,000 | €0 (free plan) | €1.50 commission | €5.87 | €25.87 |
| 10,000 | €0 (free plan) | €15 commission | €13.66 | €33.66 |
| 50,000 | $379 (≈ €349) | $379 (≈ €349) + €75 commission | €48.30 | €68.30 |
| 100,000 | $679 (≈ €625) | $679 (≈ €625) + €150 commission | €91.60 | €111.60 |
Monthly price with one send a week (4.33 emails per subscriber). "With 5% paying": one in twenty subscribers pays you €5 a month, and what the platform keeps from those payments is added. Kit: prices as published on 17 October 2026; dollars at €0.92. Its 3.5% + €0.25 already includes card processing, and the table counts only the 0.6% Kit says it keeps. Tirada: plan plus €2 per 10,000 emails, excluding VAT, and 0% commission; Stripe's fee is paid on your own account and isn't included. Your own domain on Tirada, €2 more a month, isn't included.
Up to 10,000 subscribers Kit is hard to beat. With a free newsletter you pay nothing, and with 500 paying readers its 0.6% comes to €15 a month: almost the same as Tirada Lite (€13.66) and less than Pro (€33.66). If you send from your own domain, that's €2 more a month on Tirada and the two come out practically even. The jump comes with subscriber 10,001, which moves you to Creator. At 50,000 subscribers the gap is $379 (≈ €349) on Kit against €48.30 on Tirada Lite, every month.
Your AI and your agents
Kit has an official MCP server, launched in public beta for paid accounts (Creator and Pro). It connects with OAuth and has 83 tools covering almost its whole API: subscribers, tags, segments, forms, landing pages, sequences, broadcast drafts, products and webhooks. On the free plan you can connect it, but every tool returns an upgrade prompt.
For the sensitive actions it asks for a confirmation outside the chat: sending a broadcast, deleting a sequence or unsubscribing someone returns a link, and only runs when you click Confirm inside Kit. Some tools do trigger emails without that step (adding people to a form sends the confirmation email, and adding them to an active sequence starts it). And its REST API, with an API key on any plan, can schedule a broadcast to your audience with no confirmation.
On Tirada the MCP comes with every plan, Lite included. Your assistant gets nine diagnostic tools (why an email didn't arrive, what your domain is missing, why a send was paused, what happened in an import) plus the API operations you approve, such as preparing a draft or getting a send ready. Neither the MCP nor the API can confirm it: a person always does that in the dashboard. Your readers' emails reach it masked, and you can revoke each connection. How to connect it.
When Kit is the better choice
If your list stays at or below 10,000 subscribers, Kit costs you nothing and Tirada doesn't: with 1,000 subscribers and one send a week, Tirada Lite is €5.87 a month, and on Kit you can charge for a paid newsletter without paying for a plan. Its free plan includes unlimited landing pages and forms, tags and segments.
Kit is also the better choice if you live on automations. Creator gives you sequences, visual automations, RSS campaigns and more than 100 apps in its App Store, and Kit migrates you for free from another platform. It has a recommendations network (paid ones too) and sells digital products and tips. Tirada has no automations beyond the welcome email and no discovery network.
How to move from Kit
- On Kit, export your subscribers to CSV (the download link expires after five days). Copy the broadcasts you want to keep: Tirada imports subscribers, not the post archive.
- On Tirada, import the CSV. You get a report of who got in and why each of the rest didn't.
- Connect your domain to send and publish from it (€2 a month) and your Stripe account to get paid.
- If you have paid subscribers, Tirada doesn't take over existing Stripe subscriptions: your paying readers subscribe again on your Tirada page. Tell them first, and don't cancel anything on Kit until they've moved.
